PAM-EXTRACT is a high-performance system for the automated recognition and capturing of business documents which converts paper-based documents into electronic data. The system recognizes and checks the content and provides other applications with the obtained information for further processing.

Functionalities of PAM-EXTRACT:

Scan module:

Controls the scanner and files the scanned documents separately or as batches in the document data base.

Import module:

Imports document images from external sources and archives them separately or as batches in the document data base.

Recognition module:

Recognizes the scanned document images. Hereby OCR and ICR technologies are used. Matching with strategic data bases can be carried out during the recognition  which results in a significant improvement in the reading result.

Reworking:

Manual postprocessing and checking of the documents which could not be clearly read or validated by PAM-EXTRACT.

Export module:

Formats the recognized and checked document data and transfers it with or without original image to processing applications.
