Documents and data under duty to be preserved can be protected from deletion
(by stipulating a retention time) in the archive according to their document type
(e.g. incoming invoices).
This ensures that archived documents cannot be deleted from the archive prior to
a
set date. Manipulation is prevented when audit-compliant media are used, such as
WORM, UDO, EMC Centera, NetApp systems with SnapLock, iCas/iTernity systems,
and IBM Tivoli.
The integrated version management feature automatically creates a new document version
once a document is retrieved from the archive and changed. The versioning feature
also extends to the authorship level. This ensures seamless traceability for internal
and external auditors. |
