SAP applications are sometimes only used in certain specialist departments.
Other departments will then have no access to archived SAP documents.
With PAM for ERP Enterprise, an additional separate and reliable document
management system is made available in order to use archived documents
outside of the SAP environment.
PAM for ERP Enterprise retrieves information relevant to archived documents
(e.g. supplier name, invoice number, etc.) from the SAP database and uses the information
to populate the search catalog in PAM for ERP Enterprise. These imported search
terms can then be used for a precise document search. Documents can be organized
in specific digital files for greater clarity.
Different systems - one shared archive
PAM for ERP Enterprise can retrieve documents from virtually all upstream systems
and sort them into electronic files. Whether individual MS Office documents, e-mails,
or automatically from CRM/ERP systems, PAM for ERP Enterprise archives all document
types and can be progressively expanded as central corporate repository.
