Replacing an existing document archive is like changing horses in the middle of
a river. Concerns about the loss of information and the possible cost of migration
cause many archive users to shy away from transfer issues.
The supplied PAM for ERP Migration Client proves that these concerns are unfounded.
It copies all records from the existing archive and writes them to the PAM for ERP basic archive. Only those documents listed in the active SAP junction table are
transferred. Once migration is completed, the new archive only contains records
with the corresponding posting entry.
To allow daily business to proceed as usual despite the transfer process, migration
is schedule-driven and takes place outside of business hours. |
