Most business communications are still paper-based.
With PAM-STORAGE Scanclient we provide an efficient scanning
solution to make paper-based business documents available
across the entire company.
Scanning - as easy as making photocopies
Generally, the quality of the records to be scanned varies greatly. Format, color
and orientation (landscape, portrait) need to be considered during scanning and
require special settings depending
on the document to be scanned.
PAM-STORAGE Scanclient creates scanning profiles to save settings such as color
mode, resolution (dpi) and file format (TIFF Group 4, PDF, JPG) for specific templates
to be used as selectable profiles.
Document clipping
If the scanner used does not have an automatic document feeder (ADF), the user can
manually combine scanned individual pages
prior to archiving to create documents consisting of several pages.
When using scanners with ADF, this process can be automated by using separator sheets.
Scanned documents consisting of several pages can also be divided manually into
individual pages.
Best image quality
Having to rescan documents when digitizing them is a waste of
time. The user winds up running the document repeatedly through the scanner, changing
the parameters each time until the desired quality is achieved. To further optimize
the digitizing process,
we also support the Kofax VirtualReScan (VRS) industry standard. With automatic
orientation (deskew) and removal of margins
(auto cropping) features, different paper formats can be processed
in the same batch. Poor-quality images are also automatically corrected within a
user-defined framework so that documents that vary in quality can be processed at
the same time and the time-consuming presorting of the batch is eliminated. An intelligent
Monitoring Agent provides a real-time quality control on demand. Changes in the
scanner settings can be viewed directly in the
image on screen. |
