Lotus Notes users will only become aware of the archiving feature when they notice
that emails suddenly no longer take up so much space in their e-mail database. Archived
emails can be viewed in much the same way as normal emails. Only in the Document
Preview, a small configurable text indicates that the e-mail has been archived.
A simple double-click will restore the email and its attachments immediately.
Offline availability
If you need to access archived emails offline, you can just move the required emails
to a temporary local database and use them as needed. Once these documents are checked
back in, they are automatically deleted from the local database on expiration
of a configurable retention period. |
